it's either stuttering, going so fast you can't hear it.. oe else not there! Anybody elses having problems with MP4?

There can be several reasons for trouble with MP4 playback in your favorite media player. If you use WMP, you can add a DirectShow filter (= plugin) like mpegable or http://www.3ivx.com/ to add support for MPEG-4 video and audio streams.

Another option is to install Apple's QuickTime 6.x and/or iTunes 4.x which also exist in a Windows version since some months.

As MP4 is only the container for different video and audio formats, you always need the specific codec for the included formats, otherwise you'll experience playback problems like the original poster. A typical example for his problem could be an AMR audio track (speech codec used in 3GPP for mobile phones) with a MPEG-4 video track in a MP4 file. This is not standard-compliant, but nevertheless some people stuff it into the container anyhow. The correct container format for this combination would have have been .3gp and not .mp4, by the way (readable by QuickTime).
